Your training stays on your device.
Beat the House has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. Everything it records about your play is written to your device and stays there.

| Accounts | None. You never sign in. |
|---|---|

| Advertising | None. |
| Your sessions and hands | Stored on your device only |
| Watch drills | Sent to your iPhone directly, not via a server |
| Data sold or shared | None |
What the app stores
To show your statistics and work out your Strategy Rating, the app records the following in a database on your device:
- Your sessions — when they started, how long they lasted, the mode
- The hands dealt and the cards in them
- Every decision you made, the correct play, and whether they matched
- Your bankroll within a Game Play session
- Your settings and preferences
None of it is transmitted to us, because there is no "us" to transmit it to — the app has no server of its own and no account attached to you.
Erasing it
Settings has an option to erase all training history, which removes every session, hand and decision permanently. Deleting the app removes everything as well.
Your Apple Watch
Drills you complete on the watch are stored on the watch until your iPhone is nearby, then sent straight to it using Apple's built-in device-to-device connection between a watch and its paired phone. They do not pass through any server of ours, and they are not sent anywhere else.
Once a drill reaches the phone it is stored exactly like a session you played there.
The one thing that does leave your device
The app uses Expo's update service to check whether an updated version is
available. That check contacts u.expo.dev, operated by Expo,
and involves the technical information such a request necessarily carries
— your IP address, the app version, and the platform you are running.
No session, hand, decision, rating or setting is included in that request. Expo's handling of it is covered by Expo's privacy policy.
Separately, Apple provides download and crash information for apps on the App Store under its own terms. That is between you and Apple; we receive only anonymous aggregate figures and never anything identifying you.
Purchases
Any purchase is handled entirely by the Apple App Store. Payment details are given to Apple and never reach us — we receive no card number, no billing address, and no part of your payment information at any point.
Children
Beat the House teaches the strategy behind a casino game. It contains no real-money gambling and no way to wager anything of value, but it is not directed toward children under the age of 18 and is rated accordingly on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone — which, given that we collect nothing at all, covers minors as completely as it covers everyone else.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear here with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
